I found a wooden plate in the cellar, and gave it a red wash.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13635\" title=\"_MG_3255\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/MG_32551.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"230\"><\/p>\n<p>After a couple of layers, the shapes are defined.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13636\" title=\"_MG_3260\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/MG_32601.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"209\"><\/p>\n<p>This time I wanted to try something new: the extra heavy gel medium.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13587\" title=\"_MG_3271\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/MG_3271.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"273\"><\/p>\n<p>I\u00b4m repainting everything I already had painted to add the texture. But that\u00b4s the wonderful thing about painting, isn\u00b4t it?! You can just paint layer after layer until you\u00b4re happy <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/spindelmaker.bluesystems.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/simple-smile-39.png\" alt=\":-)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\"\/> I really like the extra depth the gel adds to the painting.<\/p>\n<p>Several layers later, with lots of smaller details in place, but taking care to use a big brush, so it will still have some life.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13639\" title=\"_MG_3423\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/MG_3423.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"205\"><\/p>\n<p>And voil\u00e1!
