They also have a great reputation for art. Every November they host a big Christmas-fair, and the hosts of the fair invited me to have an inspirational talk\/workshop.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15450\" title=\"_MG_1403\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/MG_1403.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"212\" =\"https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/MG_1403.gif 450w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/MG_1403-150x70.gif 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\"><\/p>\n<p>The theme of the evening is Alternative Christmas-trees and recycled Christmas-tree ornaments. It was a free get-together for all the arts and crafts teachers in the local schools and kindergardens. There is such an amazing sense of good-will here! The hotel where we were, gave us the room for free, and even added a free supper for all of us! Amazing!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15451\" title=\"_MG_1410\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/MG_1410.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"495\" =\"https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/MG_1410.gif 350w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/MG_1410-150x212.gif 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\"><\/p>\n<p>All the attendees were asked to bring 2-3 little things, pieces of un-useful junk, and we put it all together (using BlueTack) in the shape of a Christmas tree. Normally I\u00b4d put it on a wall, but because of paneling, we used a glass-door instead. Unfortunately, it didn\u00b4t photo well. Hopefully you\u00b4ll get the idea. Crocheted silver wire. Isn\u00b4t it just lovely! Thank you so much, Marianne!<\/p>\n<p>A real road-trip-photo!&amp;nbsp;On the way back home,&amp;nbsp;I drove by hese are plastic-wrapped hay-balls, with painted eyes on them. How excellent! Photo-safari in the Norwegian mountains dressed in autumn-colors\u2026 it\u00b4s pretty darn beautiful too! The lakes are a milky turquoise from the melting glacier Folgefonna in the background.
