The bigger pieces I use as panelling in my hall (I\u00b4ll have to show that sometime\u2026), but the smaller pieces were free for use in other creative projects.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15296\" title=\"_MG_0764\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/MG_0764.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"248\"><\/p>\n<p>I picked out pieces of various lengths to make a little, alternative, coastal Christmas tree.&amp;nbsp;First arranging the pieces by size and both gluing and nailing them down to the vertical driftwood used as a \u201cstem\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15297\" title=\"_MG_0765\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/MG_0765.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"435\"><\/p>\n<p>And finally adding some coastal decor to it. I could have used anything, even brightly colored glass-bulbs, but I wanted it to stay subtle and true to my theme. As a star I used a dried star-fish, that I bought once out traveling. The tiny blue starfish and the seahorses I got from an old Artfest-buddy who had an online-store. The white shell is an old earring that lost it\u00b4s match. The feather with a real crystal tied to it was a trade from this year\u00b4s Artfest. The enameled bead at the bottom I made last year at Art&amp;Soul in Portland. And finally, the little glass-jar filled with sand and with the label that says \u201cPortable day on the beach\u201d!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-15441\" title=\"_MG_1046\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/MG_1046-408x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"408\" height=\"600\"><\/p>\n<p>This alternative Christmas tree is perfect for a small flat, where the space is limited. It doesn\u00b4t take up much place in the apartment, and even better, it doesn\u00b4t take up much storage-space the other 11 months of the year! <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/spindelmaker.bluesystems.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/simple-smile-31.png\" alt=\":-)\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\"\/><\/p>\n<p>What type of Christmas tree do you prefer?
