A portrait of a polar bear. A bit of application, but mainly freehand machine embroidery. I don\u00b4t have a fancy machine that can be programmed to do this, so every stitch is hand-guided. Handmade is what makes it art! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15977\" title=\"_MG_3111\" src=\"https:\/\/spindelmaker.bluesystems.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/MG_3111.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"349\"><\/p>\n<p>I\u00b4m using a solid wool fabric, which I\u00b4ve stiffened even a bit more with Vliselin. After making myself a pattern, I cut and tear fabric pieces in soft colors, to add life. Pinning everything down, leaving small crinkles for added texture.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15978\" title=\"_MG_3113\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/MG_3113.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"257\"><\/p>\n<p>And then\u2026 just start sewing! The face is about 25\u00d730 cm \/ 10\u00d712 inches.
