The process starts with the carpenters who built the construction. It arrives as fresh, natural wood and my assignment is to make it look weathered.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17298\" alt=\"_MG_0754\" src=\"https:\/\/spindelmaker.bluesystems.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/MG_07541.jpg\" width=\"350\" height=\"525\"><\/p>\n<p>First layer is to give it a light grey prime color coat.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17299\" alt=\"_MG_0757\" src=\"https:\/\/spindelmaker.bluesystems.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/MG_0757.jpg\" width=\"350\" height=\"525\"><\/p>\n<p>Second coat is a mix of washed out paints in burnt sienna, ochre, moss, dark grey.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17309\" alt=\"_MG_0984\" src=\"https:\/\/spindelmaker.bluesystems.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/MG_0984.gif\" width=\"350\" height=\"405\"><\/p>\n<p>Darkening the shaded areas, giving highlights to the lighted areas.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17310\" alt=\"_MG_0872\" src=\"https:\/\/spindelmaker.bluesystems.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/MG_0872.gif\" width=\"450\" height=\"243\"><\/p>\n<p>Seen from above. It took some time to get all the dark shades in between the separate boards\u2026<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17311\" alt=\"_MG_0990\" src=\"https:\/\/spindelmaker.bluesystems.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/MG_0990.gif\" width=\"450\" height=\"223\"><\/p>\n<p>And from the front with half of the mountain, which is also in the process of getting paint.
