At the end of a year, I usually think back and look at some of the things that has happened that year. It is to once again appreciate the experiences I\u00b4ve had, to think things over, and prepare for the coming year. Some good things, some sad, some valuable, some everyday-like, but all valuable in the making of a complete life. I want to share some of 2013 with you.<\/p>\n

&nbsp;2013<\/strong> has been a year filled with one highlight after the other. Here\u00b4s a little over-view of some of them (click on any picture for more onto\/pics):<\/p>\n

January<\/strong> was filled with designs and ARTing for upcoming projects. I also did a photo-shoot for a local band, for their first CD<\/a>. On a more personal level, I think my visit to Israel and Palestine<\/a> was a rare and valued experience.<\/p>\n

February <\/strong>was a new month of making. Below is a textile wallhanging for a ship.<\/p>\n

In March<\/strong> I attended a 2-week course in textile dyeing in the College of Visual Arts. One of the things I learned was how to make a silk-screen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

April<\/strong> was all about theatre-design for \u201cKim plays\u201d<\/em><\/a> at Haugesund Theatre. Taking the summer-holiday early, visiting the USA<\/a> afterwards wasn\u00b4t wrong at all either \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Back hime, in May<\/strong> I opened my \u201cHOME\u201d-exhibition<\/a>, as the 50th municipal jubilee-artist. What an honor!<\/p>\n

&nbsp;<\/p>\n

June<\/strong> was filled with contemporary dance and \u201cFar, far away\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

In July<\/strong> I opened my big exhibition in Lindesnes<\/a>, Norway\u00b4s most southern light-house.<\/p>\n

In August<\/strong> I started working at Rogaland Theatre as a theatre-painter. I slowed down on blogging, but started making The Weekly Backstage<\/a>-posts.<\/p>\n

September<\/strong>\u00b4s highlight is definitely decorating Skandi Iceman<\/a> with my art. Although I also have to mention the costume-workshop<\/a> I had for Rogaland Teaterr\u00e5d (Rogaland county\u00b4s theatre council)<\/p>\n

November<\/strong>\u00b4s highlight was a metal-mosaic made for Matre<\/a>\u00b4s reception:<\/p>\n

December.<\/strong> I ended the year with a debut as a furniture-designer, making this reception-desk<\/a> for Eidesvik.<\/p>\n

A definite highlight was also getting an art-grant <\/a>from the Norwegian Arts Council. And a third highlight this month will be making the art for B\u00f8mmelfjord\u00b4s new offices<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What a year it has been! Wow! So many firsts, so many new things & techniques I\u00b4ve learned, new challenges I\u00b4ve faced and conquered!<\/p>\n

Now I am excited about entering 2014. I have some upcoming highlights that I already know of, and hopefully some unknown too.<\/p>\n
