It\u00b4s been (and is) a busy month! All of a sudden we had snow, and the kids next door made a fireman-snowman in my garden.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-20194\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0617-400x600.jpg\" alt=\"_MG_0617\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\" =\"https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0617-400x600.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0617-150x225.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0617.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\"><\/p>\n<p>And talking of snow, a visit to Voss with -24 degrees. So cold you can hardly breathe. This is truly a country for those with special interests. I\u00b4m not so sure I\u00b4m one of them. Even though it is beautiful.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-20195\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0634-450x300.jpg\" alt=\"_MG_0634\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" =\"https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0634.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0634-150x100.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\"><\/p>\n<p>But most of the time in Voss I was indoors, attending a workshop in Textiles and how the textile industry affects the environments. So interesting! There is so much I need and want to learn.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-20196\" src=\"http:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0640-400x600.jpg\" alt=\"_MG_0640\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\" =\"https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0640-400x600.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0640-150x225.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.spindelmaker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/MG_0640.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\"><\/p>\n<p>We also visited M\u00f8lstratunet (Voss Museum), where this beautiful handmade skirt is. Hand-spun, hand-woven, hand-sewn\u2026 partly ikat-dyed, partly tartan-patterned, warm reds mixed with lilac-mauve. From around 1850-1900, and so cool. Wouldn\u00b4t it be awesome&amp;amp;nbsp;to be able to master&amp;amp;nbsp;all these skills?!<\/p>\n<p>My mind is spinning around my Master-thesis, on what to work with. I have some ideas, and am gathering as much&amp;amp;nbsp;information as possible before I have to decide.
